Job Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking a skilled and compassionate Program Coordinator I to join our Recreation Therapy/Adult Day Services department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing general recreational/leisure programs that support residents'/clients' health and well-being in residential, acute, and/or adult day program settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and develop recreational/leisure programs that meet the needs of residents/clients
  • Implement and evaluate programs to ensure quality and effectiveness
  • Supervise up to four Activity Worker II positions and provide direction to designated volunteers
  • Carry out therapeutic components of a resident's care plan under the clinical direction of a Recreation Therapist or appropriate designate

Requirements:
  • Graduation from a recognized recreational program plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
