Key Responsibilities- Food Cost Management
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize food costs, ensuring profitability and efficiency in food purchasing and inventory management.
- Menu Planning and Execution
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and implement menus that meet the needs of our guests and align with the resort's culinary vision.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service and food quality.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing waste.
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of ingredients and equipment.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
