About the RoleAs a Visitor Services Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering front-line services and programs to visitors. You will work closely with the Manager, Visitor Services, to develop and implement educational programs, coordinate daily operations, and provide high-quality service to visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and deliver educational programs onsite and online, ensuring a high-quality experience for visitors.
- Coordinate the daily operation of the Museum, including scheduling, special projects, and ensuring high-quality service in all areas.
- Assist with the development and implementation of curriculum-based educational programs.
- Support the Interpretation and Outreach team in the development of virtual and onsite educational programs and resources for schools.
- Develop, deliver, and provide ongoing training for the VS Team, focusing on best practices for in-person and virtual program delivery.
- Interpret the history and themes of the Museum, communicating them to the public through various activities, including guided visits, school programs, exhibitions, workshops, and interactive games.
- Contribute to the evaluation of visitors' experiences by gathering statistics and working on short-term assignments, such as surveying visitors and evaluating Museum programs and services.
We are looking for an effective communicator, self-starter, and team player with strong presentation techniques and experience in educational programming. You must be organized, able to plan necessary resources, and have problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility. Bilingualism (English and French) is essential, with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in the second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in the second official language.
