The Opportunity

We are seeking a Unit Aide to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a Unit Aide, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and clean environment for our patients and families.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting in accordance with infection control guidelines
  • Ensuring unit and family rooms are clean and tidy
  • Maintaining supplies and equipment required for the unit
  • Transporting defective equipment to Biomedical Engineering
  • Assisting Ward Clerks in delivering requisitions, specimens, x-rays, etc.

Hours of Work

This is a rotating schedule position, with Wednesdays from [insert time] to [insert time], and weekends from [insert time] to [insert time].

Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous Unit Aide experience is preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • A commitment to Family Centred Care
  • The ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
  • Knowledge of Health Centre fire response regulations
  • Competency in other languages is considered an asset, with French preferred
