About the Opportunity

The Unit Aide plays a vital role in the healthcare team, reporting directly to the Health Services Manager. Key responsibilities include ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies and equipment to meet patient needs in their designated work area. A strong understanding of infection control principles is essential for providing a safe environment for patients and staff. This role also provides indirect and direct support for patient care.

About You

We're looking for a candidate with a Grade 12 education and a demonstrated understanding of the importance of cleanliness in a hospital setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as good judgment and initiative. Teamwork and effective communication are crucial in this role. Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French being preferred.

Hours

This is a short assignment, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The assignment is approximately 6 months long.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $21.69. Nova Scotia Health is committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package to its employees.
