The Unit Aide plays a crucial role in supporting patient care, working closely with the health services manager to ensure the needs of patients are met. This role requires a strong understanding of infection control principles and the ability to establish good relationships with patients and staff.
About the Role- Order and maintain supplies and equipment to meet patient needs
- Provide indirect and direct support for patient care
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Work closely with the health services manager to ensure patient needs are met
- Grade 12 education
- Understanding of the importance of cleanliness in a hospital
- Ability to establish good relationships with patients and staff
- Good judgment and demonstrated initiative
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Competencies in other languages are an asset
- Full-time, 75 hours bi-weekly
- Approximately 6 months
- $21.69 hourly
