We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Unit Aide to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a Unit Aide, you will play a critical role in providing a safe and clean environment for our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean and disinfect patient rooms and common areas in accordance with infection control guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including restocking supplies and equipment
- Transport defective equipment to the Biomedical Engineering department
- Assist Ward Clerks with delivering requisitions, specimens, and x-rays
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a Unit Aide or in a related healthcare role preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to Family Centred Care
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Health Centre fire response regulations
- Competency in other languages considered an asset; French preferred
