Job Title: Community Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing harm reduction services, overdose prevention, and support to individuals in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for program participants
  • Offer a variety of physical, emotional, social, and life skills supports to program participants
  • Maintain confidentiality about the personal information of program participants
  • Perform overdose prevention and interventions within established guidelines
  • Work collaboratively and problem-solve with team members
  • Actively listen and de-escalate confrontational situations
Requirements:
  • Lived experience of the challenges faced by program participants
  • Grade 12 education or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain regular hours of work
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and duties
