Job Title: Community Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team at Spectrum Society for Community Living. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse needs and abilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position, working 16 hours per week, with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of our clients. You will be working with a client who is extremely independent and requires minimal support. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Accompanying the client to appointments and social events
  • Providing support with daily living tasks, such as showering and cooking
  • Assisting with household chores and errands
  • Encouraging and engaging the client's interests and hobbies
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in your work schedule
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in email and internet usage
