About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Community Support Worker to provide support and assistance to V, a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who enjoys crafts, music, and socializing with friends and family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks
  • Assist with light housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry
  • Encourage physical activities such as walking, yoga, and dance
  • Support V in engaging in crafts and hobbies
  • Assist with communication and socialization via Zoom, phone calls, and visits

Requirements:

  • Ability to motivate and engage the interests of others
  • Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)
  • Sign Language is an asset, and training is provided

Work Environment:

This is a temporary position to cover a maternity leave, with a possibility of extension up to 18 months. The work schedule is Monday to Tuesday, 9am to 9am, with a 14-hour shift and 10 hours of sleep overnight.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $23.50 to $25.75, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
