Produce Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Produce Technician to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our farm operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests by ensuring the highest quality produce is harvested, cleaned, and packaged to meet our standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Harvest, clean, and package fresh produce to meet quality and quantity standards.
- Assist with implementing strategies to improve produce sales and participate in marketing efforts to promote food production and good eating habits.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to mechanical or horticultural equipment and systems.
- Maintain accurate records, including markdown reports and growing/harvest records.
Requirements:
- Experience with growing vegetables or other plants, even at home.
- Comfortable with technology, including Google and Microsoft Office suites, and iPads/Windows computers.
- Able to work independently without direct supervision.
- High level of enthusiasm and strong commitment to learning.
- Mechanically inclined and enjoy working with tools and technology.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Certificate or degree in agriculture, horticulture, or related field an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license and willingness to work all shifts, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
