Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Technician to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers by ensuring the highest quality produce is available in our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Harvest, clean, and package fresh produce to meet customer demands.
  • Assist in implementing strategies to improve produce sales and participate in marketing efforts to promote food production and good eating habits.
  • Maintain accurate records, including markdown reports and growing/harvest records.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless operations and high-quality produce.

Requirements:

  • Experience in growing vegetables or other plants, even at home.
  • Comfortable with technology, including Google and Microsoft Office suites, and iPads/Windows computers.
  • Able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • High level of enthusiasm and strong commitment to learning.
  • Mechanically inclined and enjoy working with tools and technology.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Certificate or degree in agriculture, horticulture, or related field an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license and ability to maintain a valid license throughout employment.
