Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Equipment Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited. This role is responsible for coordinating the maintenance schedules of our large heavy equipment fleet, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for the heavy equipment fleet using GPS systems and software tools such as VISTA Viewpoint.
  • Monitor and coordinate training and certification expiration dates with the Heavy Equipment Shop Manager and HR Training & Development.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and tailgate talks to ensure compliance with safety procedures and report any incidents or near-misses.
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks such as entering work order data, processing purchase orders, and handling other duties as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety, training, and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a heavy equipment shop environment or a similar field would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in performing job responsibilities, attending meetings, and addressing issues promptly.
  • Ability to use Excel for tracking, scheduling, and reporting on preventive maintenance schedules, training records, and other administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with VISTA Viewpoint software would be beneficial in managing work orders, purchase orders, and other administrative functions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry, scheduling, and compliance with safety and maintenance procedures.
