Joe Johnson Equipment Ottawa is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repairs and a valid license to operate heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including hydro-vac trucks, street sweepers, and refuse trucks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure efficient and effective repairs.
  • Communicate with the Lead Hand and/or Service Manager regarding job progress and status changes.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area, adhering to company safety policies and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Heavy Equipment License (421A) or Truck & Coach Technician (310T) certification.
  • 2+ years of experience as a licensed mechanic.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean abstract.
  • Experience with hydraulic and/or electrical work.
