Deliverable Overview
The Infrastructure Operations Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-quality services related to system deployment operations and management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability of OPS Services and underlying infrastructure 24/7/365 by monitoring systems, taking prompt necessary actions, and escalating to Tier 2/3 or vendors as needed.
- Respond to high-priority requests and incidents, participate in system recovery and service restoration efforts, and meet with stakeholders.
- Provide operational system updates, upgrades, patch application, and issue resolution.
- Initiate established recovery and escalation procedures.
- Implement change requests for mainframe, mid-range, and network platforms.
- Ensure service level commitments are met for ITS clients and stakeholders and broader public sector agencies.
- Participate in developing and delivering related training, communications, and procedural documentation.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives such as shift left and Agile monitoring.
- Participate in yearly Systrust Audit and semi-annual Disaster Recovery exercises.
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Must-Haves:
- A minimum of 5-8+ years of demonstrated experience supporting large zOS mainframe systems.
- Service Management Tools such as eSMT, CIT Remedy, and ITIL.
- OS365 Suite of products and Power BI.
Nice-to-Haves:
- ITIL Certifications.
Skill Set Requirements:
Experience Supporting Large ZOS Mainframe Systems:

- A minimum of 5-8+ years of demonstrated experience supporting large zOS mainframe systems.
Knowledge with Unix and Wintel Servers and Network Peripherals:

Incident and Change Management:

- Demonstrated experience in presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
