About the Role

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing glass products in commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure precise fits
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a safe and secure installation
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper function and safety
  • Instruct apprentices on proper installation techniques and safety protocols
  • Prepare shop drawings and specifications for each installation
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, ensuring a safe and secure environment
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, adhering to safety protocols
  • Operate glass cutting equipment, including computerized cutters and manual cutters for straight cuts

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in glass installation or a related field
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and handle heavy loads
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
