Position Overview

We are seeking a Skilled Glass Installer to join our team at Flynn Canada Ltd. This role involves working with glass in various commercial and industrial settings.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in glass installation
Work Environment

The position requires working at heights and in outdoor conditions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess material requirements for projects
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass accurately
  • Position and secure glass panes effectively
  • Assemble and install various glass products
  • Install necessary hardware
  • Provide guidance to apprentices
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings
  • Repair existing glass structures
  • Set up and dismantle installation equipment
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints
Glass Cutting Techniques

Utilize both computerized cutting tools and manual glass plate cutting methods.

Physical Demands
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks
  • Handle heavy materials
  • Maintain standing and bending positions
  • Lift weights up to 23 kg
