Job Title: Skilled Glazier

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled glazier to join our team. As a glazier, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass products in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each project
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a secure and watertight seal
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on glass installation techniques
  • Prepare shop drawings and specifications for glass installation projects
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, ensuring a safe and secure environment
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, adhering to safety protocols
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate glass installation
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in glass installation
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
