We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Correctional Officer to join our team at the Ontario Public Service.
Job Summary:The Correctional Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of inmates, staff, and visitors within the correctional facility. This includes enforcing rules and regulations, conducting searches, and providing support to inmates with their daily needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Enforce rules and regulations within the correctional facility
- Conduct searches of inmates and their living areas
- Provide support to inmates with their daily needs, such as meals and hygiene
- Monitor and report any incidents or security breaches
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
