Correctional Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Correctional Officer to join our team at the Ontario Public Service. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Training: You will be responsible for ensuring that all inmates receive the necessary education and training to prepare them for release.
- Work Setting: You will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, and will be required to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Certifications and Licenses: You will be required to hold a First Aid Certificate and a CPR Certificate.
- Personal Suitability: You will be expected to demonstrate dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, judgement, reliability, and a strong sense of values and ethics.
- Experience: You will be required to work a temporary position, with a variable number of hours per week, and will be expected to be a team player.
