About the Role
Canadian Blood Services is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist (Donor Care Associate) to join our dynamic Donor Centre team in Halifax. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the collection of donor blood in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors, team members, and volunteers.
- Monitor donors for safety and comfort, and provide post-donation care.
- Ensure the safe processing and handling of blood products.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Completion of high school.
- Completion of an accredited training program in phlebotomy or one year of related experience.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
- A second language is considered an asset.
