We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Associate Recruiter. As a key member of our orthodontic office, you will provide personalized patient care with enthusiasm and empathy.
Responsibilities:- Administer optimal hygiene treatments based on clinical assessments and patient oral health goals
- Educate and empower patients to enhance their oral health
- Collect and maintain accurate dental and medical histories
- Assist in preparing patients for orthodontic procedures
- Prepare patients and equipment for X-rays, ensuring safety
- Take and process X-rays according to safety protocols
- Examine gums for infections or diseases
- Perform teeth cleaning, polishing, and oral hygiene instructions
- Assist in orthodontic procedures like bonding and appliance management
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment progress
- Update patient records and examination notes promptly
- Assist with laboratory duties as directed
- Maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Follow up with patients post-treatment and address inquiries
- Travel to satellite locations as needed
- Foster teamwork and positivity in a fast-paced environment
- Completion of Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program
- Registered and in good standing with provincial dental hygiene regulatory authority
- 2+ years' dental hygiene experience preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring patient comfort
- Effective time management and organizational abilities
- Orthodontic office experience preferred, ortho module an asset
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
