Job Title: Survey Party Chief

DOF Subsea is a world-class offshore construction support, survey, and IRM contractor. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, checking, and testing of survey equipment and software prior to project mobilization. They will also coordinate and manage the mobilization of survey equipment and software on vessels, ensuring that all personnel meet the company requirements for operational capability, competence, health, and safety.

The Survey Party Chief will be responsible for managing project work scope, adhering to contractual aspects of the project offshore, and ensuring that all work is performed with adequate equipment and personnel. They will also be responsible for communicating with the Project Manager on a daily basis, liaising with client representatives and senior vessel/ROV crew, and managing subcontractor's field team.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in hydrographic survey or geomatics, with at least 3 years of experience as a senior surveyor. They will also have key experience in acting party chief or party chief duties, proficiency in Microsoft packages, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising checking and testing of survey equipment and software prior to project mobilization
  • Coordinating and managing the mobilization of survey equipment and software on vessels
  • Ensuring that all personnel meet the company requirements for operational capability, competence, health, and safety
  • Managing project work scope and adhering to contractual aspects of the project offshore
  • Ensuring that all work is performed with adequate equipment and personnel
  • Communicating with the Project Manager on a daily basis
  • Liaising with client representatives and senior vessel/ROV crew
  • Managing subcontractor's field team

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in hydrographic survey or geomatics
  • At least 3 years of experience as a senior surveyor
  • Key experience in acting party chief or party chief duties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
