DOF Subsea: A Leader in Offshore Construction Support and Survey Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Survey ET/IT Technician. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining survey equipment, troubleshooting faulty equipment, and ensuring the safe operation of survey systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain survey equipment throughout offshore operations.
  • Troubleshoot faulty equipment and provide inventory listings and equipment fault reports.
  • Responsible for the installation and testing of survey equipment and systems, as well as project maintenance of survey equipment and systems.
  • Manage all survey/ROV interface cables.
  • Notify the Party Chief/Project Manager of any non-serviceable survey equipment.
  • Commission, calibrate, and decommission all survey equipment to the satisfaction of the Offshore Manager/Party Chief.
  • Ensure the safe operation of survey equipment and systems.
  • Accountable for the offshore tracking of project equipment and for the demobilization and shipping of survey equipment.
  • Support the on-line surveyor during operations.
  • Maintain equipment logs and inventories.
  • Prepare and maintain cabling and interface diagrams.
  • Monitor instruction and performance of other junior technicians.
  • Communicate daily with the Party Chief.

Requirements:

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in electronics, IT, hydrographic survey, or geomatics.
  • Experience within the oil and gas/renewables industry is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and document control systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
