Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Mechanical Engineer to join our team at EXP, a leading engineering and architecture firm in Atlantic Canada. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering multidisciplinary consulting services to our clients, working on a wide range of projects from building design to industrial process engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for mechanical building systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, fire protection systems, plumbing, and drainage systems.
- Develop layouts and designs for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with national building codes, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct technical code and standard reviews, as well as technical calculations to support building systems designs and reports.
- Support clients during tendering and construction, including site inspections and monitoring of contractor progress.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with Engineers Nova Scotia (ENS) or eligibility for immediate registration.
- Background in preparation of construction documents, including specifications and cost estimates.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, construction, project management, and proposal preparation.
- REVIT/BIM proficiency is considered a strong asset.
