About the Opportunity
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dalhousie University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate's research will focus on controls and mechatronics, with a strong emphasis on demonstrated expertise in the area of intelligent controls, mechatronics, and robotics.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. They must also be eligible and committed to registration as a Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong externally funded research program, supervise thesis-based graduate students, participate in service activities at the Department level and beyond, and foster existing and new collaborations with government and industry, as well as collaborate with members of Dalhousie's research community.
