Job Overview
Kaiser Permanente seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Vancouver, Washington. As a key member of our occupational health department, you will provide high-quality health care to Kaiser Permanente members in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with accepted professional practice standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat common medical diseases and injuries, providing high-quality health care through direct assessment, diagnosis, and formulation/implementation of treatment plans.
- Perform health maintenance services, including patient education, for well members, referring patients for specialty consultations or difficult problems when necessary.
- Document all care in patients' permanent medical records in accordance with accepted medical/legal standards.
- C coordinate, develop, or organize patient or department services or programs, such as developing department/hospital protocols, screening incoming department referrals, and coordinating CME activities.
- Provide in-service training, proctor NP students, and participate on committees like the Breastfeeding Task Force or Regional Controlled Substance Abuse Committee.
Requirements
- A graduate of an ANA-approved NP training program or equivalent requirements to meet State licensure, with a high school diploma or GED.
- Registered Nurse License (Washington) within 6 months of hire, OR Compact License: Registered Nurse within 6 months of hire; Nurse Practitioner License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire; Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License (Washington) within 6 months of hire; Registered Nurse License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire.
- A National Provider Identifier required at hire, and a Nurse Practitioner National Certificate from American Association for Nurse Practitioners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of clinical experience, with a graduate of an ANA-approved NP training program.
Estimated Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
