Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Professional to join our team as a Patient Support Specialist at Providence Health Care.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide exceptional patient care and support in a collaborative environment. As a Patient Support Specialist, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients/residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and respectful nursing care to assigned patients/residents, following established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and communicate with the RN/RPN as needed.
  • Participate in developing and implementing individualized care plans that support patient/resident abilities, preferences, and routines.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administer medications, including narcotics, according to established procedures, and monitor medication effects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing or equivalent experience.Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain a safe working environment.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes extended health and dental coverage, pension plan, and paid time off.
