Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Inventory Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that adequate equipment inventory levels are maintained. This includes communicating with HCCSS and subcontractors to confirm rental agreements, scheduling pickups, and reconciling billing corrections.

  • Responsible for making calls to confirm rental agreements with HCCSSs and/or subcontractors.
  • Schedule pickups of equipment and/or bio-waste with patients, family members, or caregivers.
  • Ensure requisitions are sent by HCCSSs and subcontractors.
  • Maintain open communication with the logistics team and drivers to ensure timely pickups.
  • Communicate with finance regarding equipment rental billing.
  • Follow up with missed pickups and reschedule with patients.
  • Follow up with patients regarding preventative maintenance schedules and arrange pump replacements.
  • Identify HCCSS errors related to contracts.
  • Manage inventory, documentation, and control of all client equipment, including infusion pumps, chargers, poles, bolus cords, and accessories.
  • Maintain computer system records of client equipment locations, usage, maintenance, repairs, and returns.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in customer service or administrative roles dealing with large volumes of correspondence.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a call center/customer service environment and use of computers within a Windows environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, empathetic, problem solver, active listener, with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and procedure manuals, in English. Ability to understand basic medical terminology.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and perform basic algebraic calculations.
