About the Opportunity
Gerdau, a leading steel manufacturing company, is seeking high-achieving recent graduates or individuals planning to graduate in Biosystems/Environmental Engineering to join its esteemed Environmental Engineering Leadership Development Program.
As part of this 12-month program, participants will embark on an intensive learning journey, encompassing on-the-job training, classroom instruction, coaching, and mentorship from seasoned professionals. The program's primary objective is to cultivate future leaders who can drive business success while upholding Gerdau's values and culture.
Key Program Components
- Solving complex problems, both large and small-scale, to drive business growth
- Leveraging leadership skills to manage strategic implementation and achieve overall business goals
- Participating in a Mentorship Program, which provides guidance, support, and career development opportunities
- Gaining in-depth knowledge of the business by interacting with customers and suppliers
- Developing a holistic understanding of the industry through collaborations with various levels of Gerdau North America
- Fostering relationships with fellow G.Futures from across North America while tackling critical organizational challenges
- Maintaining a set of managerial, interpersonal, analytical, and technical skills through continuous learning and development
- Utilizing software such as SAP and Excel to enhance performance
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biosystems/Environmental Engineering or related field
- Recent college graduate or planning to graduate within the next year
- Record of high academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.0, preferred GPA 3.5 or higher)
- Prior internship experience in a related field is highly valued
- A proven track record of leadership roles in student organizations or extracurricular activities
- High learning agility and adaptability
- Licensed to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada during the program duration
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in team environments while working independently with minimal supervision

- Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
