About Our Organization:
We are an ambulatory centre in Richmond Hill, seeking a seasoned Director to manage our interprofessional staff.
Role Overview:
The Director will report to the Chief Operations and Chief Nursing Officer. Key responsibilities include providing exemplary leadership and operational management for clinical areas and teams, ensuring excellence in patient care and achieving corporate objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Nursing Practice Development: Develop, implement, and evaluate professional care delivery models within interprofessional teams.
- Health Human Resources Optimization: Develop and evaluate standards for effective optimization of Health Human Resources to manage patient surge and health system pressures.
- Nursing Practice Expertise: Interpret and develop standards of care in alignment with best practice and evidence, serving as content matter expert for nursing practice.
- Clinical Quality Improvement: Assess nursing practice, review critical incidents, identify risks, and develop initiatives for continuous quality improvement.
- Technology Optimization: Promote, implement, and assess new technology to optimize patient care delivery, leading clinical product reviews and developing education.
- Consultation and Remediation: Provide consultation to operational leadership on competency, conduct, and capacity practice issues for nurses.
- Practice Improvement Planning: Implement plans for nurses requiring remediation and mandatory reporting.
- New Documentation Requirements: Oversee new nursing documentation requirements, leveraging evidence and technological advances to support clinical decision-making.
- Staff Management: Maintain shared responsibility for managing staff, including Managers, Nurses, Educators, and Administrative Assistants.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Theoretical and Practical Experience in adult education.
- Educational Program Planning, development, and evaluation preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification and specialty certification as per area of responsibility required.
- Strong Teaching and Adult Learning Skills and current membership in a related professional interest group or association preferred.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive compensation package and opportunities for growth and development.
