An ambulatory centre in Richmond Hill is seeking an exceptional leader to manage its clinical team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Director to oversee the professional practice, education, and academic partnerships of our interprofessional staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in adult education, educational program planning, and quality management. They will be responsible for developing and implementing nursing care delivery models, optimizing Health Human Resources, and promoting new technology to enhance patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and evaluates nursing care delivery models to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Optimizes Health Human Resources to manage patient surge and health system pressures.
- Provides expertise on nursing practice, including legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assesses nursing practice and develops quality initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.
- Promotes and implements new technology to enhance patient care.
- Provides consultative services to operational leadership on competency, conduct, and capacity practice issues.
- Implements practice improvement plans for nurses requiring remediation.
- Maintains a shared responsibility for managing staff across various disciplines.
- Develops and communicates performance measures and ensures staff meet professional practice standards.
- Determines training needs and implements training programs to improve staff performance.
Requirements:
- Theoretical and practical experience in adult education required.
- Educational program planning, development, and evaluation preferred.
- Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) program and specialty certification required.
- Strong teaching and adult learning skills required.
- Current membership in a related professional interest group or association preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate or Master's Degree in Nursing or recognized equivalent preferred.
- Regulated Health Professional (CNO/or MRTO) registration.
- Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant experience in a nursing leadership, advanced practice, or similar position.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
