As a key member of our physiotherapy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient provision of physiotherapy practice in your clinical team area. Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, you will coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the delivery of physiotherapy services to patients. This will involve working closely with other team leaders to ensure consistent, equitable, timely, and coordinated care is provided.
Your responsibilities will include identifying staffing needs, ensuring staffing requirements are met daily, and interviewing and assisting with the selection of staff. You will also be responsible for planning, facilitating, and ensuring the completion of the orientation of therapists and support staff. Additionally, you will foster team processes that develop a continuum of patient care from admission through discharge into the community.
You will provide a liaison between the team and the respective department, program planning and evaluation, and ensure practice is evidence-based and supported by current literature. You will also help ensure the utilization of outcome measures and support clinical staff in their roles.
About YouWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist to fill this role. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, 3 years of physiotherapy clinical experience, and annual registration and licensing with Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy. They will also be eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and have experience working as part of a healthcare team.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, lead or supervise others, and experience leading a project team. They will also have good communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize activities. Flexibility in dealing with constantly changing tasks that require input and supervision is also essential.
HoursThis is a permanent full-time position, 75 hours bi-weekly.
Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly rate for this position is $36.07 - $46.36. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
