The Director of Operations serves as a strategic partner to the President in driving business growth and expansion. With overall responsibility for managing operational leadership, this individual ensures the company's objectives are achieved through effective team building, logistics planning, and training.

Working closely with division managers, the Director of Operations develops leadership staff to take on larger projects and contribute to the company's success. Key responsibilities include participating in yearly budget planning, hosting meetings with team members to achieve short- and long-term goals, and ensuring seamless execution of big projects, efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and preventative maintenance.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have management experience of large teams, a solid understanding of facility or warehouse management, fleet management, and vehicle compliance. Project management experience is an asset, as well as a business management degree. Excellent communication, delegation, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and team-building skills are essential. The ideal candidate will also possess experience with Microsoft Office and a strong understanding of ethical and business practices.

In terms of compensation, the estimated salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Benefits include overtime pay, dental care, on-site parking, and flexible working hours. The job requires working 40-50 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend shifts to visit work sites and assess efficiencies.
