Social Services Program Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Social Services Program Coordinator to join our team at Nanaimo Family Life Association. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting vulnerable populations and making a positive impact in their lives.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for supervising support staff, conducting follow-up assessments, and developing programs to meet the needs of our clients. They will also work closely with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure that our clients receive comprehensive support.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social services and community development principles, as well as experience working with marginalized populations.
Responsibilities- Supervise support staff and provide guidance and direction on program delivery
- Conduct follow-up assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services
- Develop and implement new programs and services to meet the evolving needs of our clients
- Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain accurate records and statistics to inform program evaluation and research
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. social work, community development)
- At least 2 years of experience working in social services or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nanaimo Family Life Association offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental and health care plans, as well as paid time off for volunteering or personal days.
