Job Title: Educational Program Assistant

Grosvenor-Wentworth Park Elementary is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Program Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Educational Program Assistant will provide support to students with diverse needs, working collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as toileting and personal care
  • Support students with medical procedures, including catheterization and tube feeding
  • Implement behavior management strategies and provide crisis intervention as needed
  • Assist with physiotherapy follow-up and seizure management
  • Provide support for students with Down's Syndrome and Autism
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
