Business Solution Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Retail Lending Technologies team as a Business Solution Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for developing lending solutions for retail customers of Scotiabank, working closely with a dynamic Agile team to enhance, develop, and maintain corporate applications and banking systems within Canadian Banking.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a thorough understanding of Retail Lending Systems capabilities, gaps, and opportunities.
- Provide analytic support in the development and implementation of strategic plans.
- Assist in the review and evaluation of business initiatives, product, and projects with respect to Retail Lending Systems and formulate insightful guidance and input to business leaders.
- Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of Scotia Plan Loan systems and drive periodic enhancements as needed.
- Work with project teams to refine technical requirements and guidance based on industry best practices.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing of applications and scripts.
- Participate in estimation and planning of development efforts required for various projects and enhancements.
- Maintain, support, and enhance existing applications.
- Participate in regular code reviews for release activities.
- Lead the implementation efforts for implementations of code to production.
- Support Operations and Accounting Teams, managing Service Now Queues tasks and incidents.
- Participate in production issue analysis and perform root cause analysis for production issues and implementation issues.
- Assist product owners and business analysts in discovering the current system behavior and provide recommendations on improving the current system.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of work-related experience within the Financial Services Industry.
- Experience in consumer banking products (credit, deposit).
- Specialized knowledge of Automotive Lending would be an asset.
- Strong and proven analytical skills.
- Strong working knowledge of data mining tools.
- Strong technical solution management experience and skills.
- Ability to work autonomously under tight timelines.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment where processes and procedures are consistently refined.
- Strong capability to work with senior business leaders.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
