Job Title: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nursing Professional

Salary Estimate: $80,000 - $120,000 per year (based on location and experience)

About the Role

In this rewarding role at North York General Hospital, you will be a part of an interdisciplinary team providing excellent patient and family-centered care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates and their families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality, respect patient autonomy, and provide emotional support to patients and families during challenging times.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to departmental projects, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification within three months of employment.
  • STABLE certificate obtained within six months of hire.
  • At least one year of experience in neonatal nursing in a community setting.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
