Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Job Summary
The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit team. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their unique needs and develop strategies to meet those needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Minimum 1 to 2 years recent surgical experience
- Completion of a recognized Critical Care course preferred
- Able to comply with the physical demands of the unit
- Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills
