We are seeking Temporary Full-time and Part-Time Industrial Security Specialists to provide a safe and secure environment for clients in Manitou, St Leon, and Portage la Prairie. As an integral member of the GardaWorld team, your primary role is to protect client assets, tenants, and visitors by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.

  • Competitive compensation: $20.00 per hour
  • $0.55 per kilometer for transportation costs
  • $4.00 per hour for shelter pay (for 12-hour shifts)
  • $15.00 meal expense reimbursement
About Your Responsibilities

As an Industrial Security Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment
  • Patrolling the site to deter crime and trespassers
  • Reporting all incidents and submitting end-of-shift reports with photographs from the site
  • Collaborating with local authorities as needed
  • Conducting regular checks at designated locations in St Leon and Manitou
  • Enforcing property regulations and city bylaws on the client's site
  • Protecting client assets from theft, assault, fire, and other safety concerns
  • Completing daily and incident reports
  • Providing exceptional customer service
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A valid Class 5 full driving license
  • Previous experience in the security industry (an asset)
  • A valid Manitoba Security Guard license
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • The physical stamina to perform prolonged patrols
  • First aid training (an asset)
  • A reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work, with the ability to drive in inclement weather
  • Availability for consistent shifts for a period of six months
  • Customer service orientation
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work in a high-stress environment
