Security Opportunities in Industrial Settings

We are seeking a skilled Security Guard to join our team at GardaWorld in Portage la Prairie. As a Security Guard, your primary role is to ensure the safety and security of client assets, tenants, and visitors to the assignment area in a professional and courteous manner.

What We Offer
  • Flexible Shifts: Monday to Sunday (1800-0600)
  • Competitive Pay: $20.00 per hour
  • Relocation Allowance: $0.55 per KM to the site and from
  • Shelter Pay: $4 per hour (12-hour shift)

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Patrol the site, deter crime, and trespassers
  • Report all events at the site and submit end-of-shift reports with site pictures
  • RCMP will be your emergency contact
  • Security guards will check two locations during the shift: St. Leon and Manitou
  • Enforce property regulations and city bylaws on the client's site
  • Protect client assets from theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
  • Complete daily reports and incident reports
  • Provide excellent customer service
Requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Class 5 Full Driving License
  • Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
  • Valid Manitoba Security Guard License
  • Team player
  • Prolonged patrols
  • First aid beneficial
  • Reliable vehicle for work and inclement weather
  • Consistency for same shifts for 6 months
  • Customer service oriented
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
