We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental, disability, health care, and vision care benefits.

About the Role

The Veterinary Medical Director will be responsible for providing medical leadership and direction to our veterinary team, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of animal care and client service. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing clinical protocols and policies to drive quality and consistency in animal care;
  • Mentoring and supporting our veterinarians to ensure their continued professional development and growth;
  • Collaborating with our management team to drive business growth and profitability while maintaining our commitment to animal welfare and client satisfaction;
  • Representing Pets People Practice BC Inc at industry events and conferences to promote our brand and expertise;
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine and applying this knowledge to improve our services and patient outcomes.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university;
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in British Columbia;
  • At least 5 years of experience in veterinary medicine, preferably in a leadership or senior clinical role;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities;
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine.
