Nurse Practitioner for Rehabilitation Services

Job Summary:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver, BC. As a Registered Nurse in our rehabilitation unit, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying their strengths and challenges, and develop strategies for rehabilitation and recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor patients' responses to interventions.
- Document care provided and respond to incidents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning, educating patients and their families about their conditions and care plans.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and excellence in patient care, and maintain and advance your own clinical competence.
Requirements:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year of medical/surgical experience in the care and treatment of patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, burns, or other related injuries.
- Demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to designated client group - rehabilitation patients/clients.
