We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at BC Children's Hospital and SunnyHill Health Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the acute rehabilitation unit.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their health needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, illnesses, and conditions within the scope of practice.
- Order and interpret diagnostic investigations, and analyze information to monitor progress and plan treatment.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Prescribe medications and provide first-line care in emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient care and nursing practice.
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Eligibility to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
- Minimum of 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Ability to perform the full scope of Nurse Practitioner duties and responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
