Durham College is seeking a qualified Marketing Professor to teach online courses in our Professional and Part-Time Learning (PPL) program.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Marketing or a related field, with a minimum of five years of recent industry experience. They will also have teaching experience at the post-secondary level or within a business environment, with a proven track record of applying adult educational principles and teaching/assessment methodologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, utilizing principles of adult education, and effectively using educational technologies to support learning. They will also develop curriculum that uses appropriate strategies and tools to assess student learning, and ensure that all course content is current and relevant.

Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum of five years of recent industry experience in Marketing
  • Master's degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Teaching experience at the post-secondary level or within a business environment
  • Superior skills in verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and problem solving
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Track record in meeting deadlines
  • Experience in using technology to support student learning and manage grades
