Job Title: Ready Mix Driver

Lafarge Canada is seeking a skilled Ready Mix Driver to join our team. As a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality concrete to job sites, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a Ready Mix truck to deliver concrete to job sites, adhering to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment by performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections, ensuring cleanliness and accountability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for consistent and reliable customer service through delivery, maintaining a positive and hassle-free experience for Lafarge's customers.
  • Navigate around the City of Winnipeg and surrounding areas to maintain on-time deliveries.
  • Collaborate with Logistics and Operations teams, as well as fellow operators, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including different shifts and weekends, as required.
  • Understand traffic rules and regulations in a commercial vehicle and demonstrate courtesy on the road.
  • Operate electronic devices, such as tablets and GPS, to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Be open-minded and a quick learner, with a willingness to adapt to new situations.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent education.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience, with a preference for those with construction and heavy equipment experience.
  • Understanding of building materials industry, including product knowledge, an asset.
  • Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q driver's license, with a clean driving abstract.

Lafarge Canada is committed to the health and safety of all employees. A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required.
