Job Summary

Lafarge Africa Plc is seeking a skilled Ready Mix Driver to join our team. As a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ready mix concrete to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our customers, ensuring that they receive a high-quality product and a positive delivery experience.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and equipment, adhering to all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Logistics and Transportation: Navigate through the city and surrounding areas to ensure on-time deliveries, while adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, logistics, and operations teams, as well as fellow operators.
  • Training and Development: Participate in Lafarge's Ready Mix Training Program to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of related experience, with a preference for those with construction and heavy equipment experience.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to perform tasks on electronic devices, relationship-building skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Certifications: Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q – Drivers abstract REQUIRED.
