Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ready Mix Driver to join our team at Lafarge. As a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for delivering Ready Mix Concrete to job sites, home owners, and industry clients in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Lafarge safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment by performing daily pre and post-trip inspections and ensuring it is clean and well-maintained.
  • Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography, owning their satisfaction at all times.
  • Provide consistent and reliable customer service through delivery, ensuring a positive and hassle-free experience for Lafarge's customers.
  • Navigate around the City of Winnipeg and surrounding areas to maintain on-time deliveries.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Logistics, Operations, and fellow operators.
  • Have a flexible schedule, including working different shifts and being available on weekends.
  • Understand traffic rules and regulations in a commercial vehicle and be courteous on the road.
  • Perform operations on electronic devices, such as tablets and GPS.
  • Be open-minded and a quick learner.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience, with preference given to those with construction and heavy equipment experience.
  • Understanding of building materials industry, including product knowledge, is an asset.
  • Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q driver's license, with a clean driver's abstract.

Additional Requirements

A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required as part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees.
