About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Vancity as a Senior Financial Planning Specialist. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in providing financial planning and analysis support to senior leaders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to support business decision-making. Establish and monitor key financial drivers, including revenue and expense metrics.
  • Business Partnering: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders to understand their financial needs and provide tailored support.
  • Financial Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks that may impact Vancity's long-term goals.
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans, processes, and standards to support business unit delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration from a recognized post-secondary institution (or equivalent).
  • Professional Designation: Chartered Professional Accountant (Canada) designation or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience at a senior consultant level or higher, with business acumen in the financial industry.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create clear understanding of expectations and address challenges and issues.
