Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our team at Assante Financial Management Ltd. As a Financial Planning Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in achieving their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide clients through critical decisions in their lives, providing expert advice on estate, tax, risk management, investment, and retirement planning.
  • Meet with clients on a regular basis, as part of a team and individually, to discuss their financial plans and provide ongoing support.
  • Assist the team in ensuring excellent service and communication is provided to our clients.
  • Actively engage in ongoing learning and development to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare various types of correspondence, such as letters, reports, and meeting notes.
  • Prepare investment forms and documentation for client meetings.
  • Provide support using various Financial Planning systems and software.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional external customer service skills, with a strong understanding of the importance of client satisfaction.
  • Exceptional internal customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Multi-tasking abilities, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of the financial industry, with a focus on corporate tax planning and taxation of investment income inside a corporation.
  • CFP, CLU, CPA, QAFP designation is an asset.
  • MFDA-licensed.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
